gained over 4% led by metal, technology, oil & gas and banking stocks. All BSE sectoral indices ended in the green barring realty.

The BSE Metal Index rose 7%, as SAIL gained 10%, Jindal Steel was up 6.5% and Hindalco up 4.6%. The BSE IT Index shot up 6.5% led by HCL Tech, TCS and Infosys, which rallied 10%, 8% and 6.5%, respectively.
