FTTN -8.57% could be on the verge of acquiring a potentially lucrative new oil and gas lease in Texas, said the company's CEO, Robert Federowicz. The company will investigate the development potential of an oil and gas lease in Lone Star State directly adjacent to a property where SandRidge Energy Inc.

The lease FTTN is investigating is located in Terrell County. Currently, the company is conducting due diligence toward a joint venture with the Texas oil exploration company Big Canyon, LLC. Once the agreement is finalized, the joint venture will pursue the Terrell County property and other oil and gas development opportunities in Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
